Synopsis
Cotton Club New York, pendant les folles années 20. Dixie, un trompettiste de jazz, sauve la vie du gangster Dutch, qui l'engage au service de sa maîtresse Véra. Puis, lassé, Dixie passe au service d'un autre truand, Madden, propriétaire du Cotton Club, avant de partir faire l'acteur Hollywood. A la mort de Dutch, Dixie retrouve Véra.
